One Week To Go!!

ONE WEEK TO GO!!!

So, with the booklets arriving through Middlezoy letterboxes this week, I thought it was time to do a bit of housekeeping and give you a rundown of events over the weekend...

Friday - Flamenco with Ramon Ruiz on guitar from 7pm in Holy Cross Church. Limited tickets left!

Saturday - 'Field Fest!' -(FREE EVENT) festivities on the playing field from 11am, including withy weaving, graffiti workshop, clay workshop, circus skills, hat making, screen printing, story telling and encaustic wax. Acoustic music in the beer marquee - bring your sun cream!

Saturday Night - Acoustic Extravaganza! Doors open at 7pm. Dusk Brothers, Gaz Brookfield and Nick Parker with his False Alarms. LIMITED TICKETS LEFT! Village Hall. Food from Ethic Street Pizza.

Sunday - 'Village Fest!' - this is a walkabout day, come and walk the environmental trail and see the new woodcarvings and find the carved benches and art installations around the village. 'Wonderland Trail' will be open Saturday and Sunday. Tons of free workshops, cream teas and ploughmans at the Church and a jazz band! Paper aeroplane launch from the church tower at 1pm - children must have an adult with them. Simon will be doing demonstrations in his newly created forge!

Mad Hatters Street Tea Party from 3.30pm on Old Chapel road - fancy dress recommended!! Bring along a plate of food. Golden Tickets are being sent around the village - if you remember to bring it, it will be popped in a hat to choose a small prize winner! Steel Drum band and acoustic music at the George. We'll announce prize winners of poetry and garden art at the tea party.

Garden Art - for last minute entries, a form needs to be filled in from the Post Office and returned ASAP. All need to be in situ for Wednesday to allow photos to be taken.

If anyone could help with collecting chairs and tables from the hall, for the tea party on Sunday, we would be ever so grateful, it would make the job a lot quicker!

The marquee is going up on Friday - again, if anyone is about early evening from around 5pm, we'd be glad of the extra pair of hands.

Art exhibition in the Chapel - bring pieces to Mari at Greystones, Nethermoor Road or in to me (Caroline) at the chapel on Friday morning.

Think that's it!
